Hollowed-out eggs hang by thin wires from small military parachutes typically used to airdrop food rations or medical equipment to refugee camps or people otherwise in desperate need of help to survive. The delicate eggs, a universal symbol of sustenance, floating in the air, would shatter upon touching the ground, symbolic of the fragile era in which we live. The “paratroopers” descend in roughly military formation, bringing an object, the specialized parachute, viewers would rarely see in person or in the media close enough for scrutiny. The intended effects for the viewer, fascination and empathy.
