fold it 'til it trickles

“fold It ’til it trickles” is a small-scale sculpture made by folding a New York state license plate. Inspired by John Chamberlain’s mangled car corpses, the artwork displays only one discernible detail from the front of the plate—the image of Niagara Falls. The scale of the actual falls is contrasted against the miniature size of the sculpture—an irony also referenced in the title, which makes a subtle jab at the notion of “trickle-down economics.”
